Scottish League (Canada Cup) Bridge of Weir 2 Kelvingrove 0
"Bridge of Weir's decisive league victory over the champions Kelvingrove at the Scottish Ice Rink, Crossmyloof, Glasgow last night marked a big switch over in relative form as compared with last season.
Bridge of Weir, who enjoyed a marked superiority in teamwork, individual thrust and ability to take chances, excelled in the opening period when their long accurate passing moves made frequent inroads on the Kelvingrove defence.
A clever move by M D Brennan led to a particularly well taken goal from W S McLeod whose shooting was ever a menace. Kelvingrove had a number of good runs but were decidedly disjointed in their efforts.
Play fell away in quality during the second period and Kelvingrove claimed the greater share of the exchanges. C McMillan, W S Montford and A Fullerton were all dangerous on occasions.
W G McDonald, Brennan and McLeod were dangerous in turn near the end and a clever solo dash by Brennan created an opening for McLeod who snapped a second goal from short range."
