"Juniors put up easily their best display of the season against Bridge of Weir at the Scottish Ice Rink, Crossmyloof, Glasgow last night and the fact that they not only kept within such close fighting distance of their opponents but often looked like snatching a point added to the interest of an unexpectedly well contested game.

J Kelly and P Stevenson were mostly responsible for the Juniors revival. Kelly was particularly clever and elusive while Stevenson was always dangerous in possession. The whole side however contributed to the improvement in play.

Bridge of Weir attacked more frequently but while they met with keen resistance their failure more than once was due to weak finishing. Although individual defenders were frequently outwitted by the stickhandling of Kelly and Stevenson their covering and clearing was superior to that of Juniors.

Clever inter-passing between W M Muirhead and W G McDonald resulted in a goal for the former. Kelly equalised for Juniors but early in the second period, McDonald skated clean through the Juniors defence to score."
