"Bearsden defeated a strong Bridge of Weir side in a First Division league match at Crossmyloof Ice Rink last night.

Throughout the game play was fast and of a keen and exciting nature. The defences played well and held out many attacks by the respective forwards. In the Bearsden front rank, J G Carruthers and J R Gilmour were always a source of danger while in the Bridge of Weir attack, W M Muirhead had R G Walker guessing on more than one occasion with his long deceptive shots.

In the first period, W M Muirhead opened the scoring for Bridge of Weir but shortly afterwards J G Carruthers levelled the accounts.

J R Gilmour secured Bearsden's two other goals, one in the second period and one in the third."
