Challenge Match Bridge of Weir 0 Kelvingrove 5
"Kelvingrove and Bridge of Weir, last season's league champions and runners-up respectively, engaged in a trial game at the Scottish Ice Rink, Crossmyloof, Glasgow last night the Kelvingrove side winning easily by five goals to nil.
The game was fast and full of incident throughout. There were many brilliant combined movements by both sides and these were enjoyed to the full by a large number of spectators. Bridge of Weir were a much better team than the score would indicate and were decidedly unfortunate not to score.
They had not the services of W M Muirhead and A N McPhie was absent from goal but in W S McLeod, their new junior recruit, they have a player of great promise as his display in this game showed. Kelvingrove would also derive satisfaction from the exhibition of J H Collins who scored twice and otherwise played cleverly. Kelvingrove's other goals came from J Campbell and W S Montford (2).
The winners led at half time, there being only two periods, by two goals. Most prominent for the winners were D Cross in goal, Montford, Campbell and Collins and for the losers, G D Rowley, R E Muirhead and W S McLeod."
