Scottish League (Canada Cup) Bridge of Weir 6 Queen's 0
"Bridge of Weir held a definite mastery in this Canada Cup league match at the Scottish Ice Rink, Crossmyloof, Glasgow last night against a weakened Queen's team that had lost the services of A R Bazin and A J Tingley.
The winners were well served in all departments but individualism was too noticeable in their play in the final period. J Johnstone and W Fullerton played well together in a Queen's attack but both lacked shooting power. By their victory, Bridge of Weir are again installed at the top of the league.
W M Muirhead scored an early goal for Bridge of Weir accepting a pass from A F Reid to beat V Carty easily from close in. R E Muirhead scored another goal a minute or two after working his way through to goal. Johnstone and Fullerton were noticeable for Queen's and the former player had a credible effort to reduce the leeway.
I S McLeod scored Bridge of Weir's third goal from an acute angle at the start of the second period and W S McLeod scored a fourth goal with a fine shot from the right. G D Rowley added a fifth some time later from close in.
W M Muirhead scored Bridge of Weir's sixth goal at the start of the third period with a hard shot which G R Forsyth diverted away from Carty. E L Montford went close for Queen's who deserved a goal in succeeding play."
