Scottish League (Canada Cup) Bridge of Weir 4 Bears 2

"Bridge of Weir made a fine recovery after a bad start to defeat Bears in a bright and interesting league encounter at the Scottish Ice Rink, Crossmyloof, Glasgow last night. Bears however had the consolation of giving their best display of the season thus far.

A Rintoul scored for Bears in the first period after a clever passing move. On resuming, Bridge of Weir attacked strongly and three goals by I S McLeod, M D Brennan and W M Muirhead rewarded their efforts.

In the third period, J Johnstone scored for Bears but W S McLeod increased the West Renfrewshire's lead near the end."
