Scottish League (Canada Cup) Bridge of Weir 4 Dennistoun 3
"Bridge of Weir are pushing Kelvingrove hard for the leadership of the league and by their 4-3 victory last night move to the top of the table, one point more than Kelvingrove, with a game more played.
Dennistoun rallied in great style and provided a most thrilling finish. Play was rather scrappy in the opening period during which A E McLeod scored twice for Bridge of Weir.
R E Muirhead with a goal in the second period put his club three ahead.
When the same player scored a fourth goal for Bridge of Weir at the beginning of the third period it looked as if the club were to win easily. Then came a goal from H Reid for Dennistoun and a change came over the game. T Nisbet struck his true form and following one of his runs, S Stevenson scored a second goal which was followed by a third scored by Nisbet.
The closing play was very exciting but although they tried hard, Dennistoun could not get the equalising goal."
