Scottish League (Canada Cup) Bridge of Weir 1 Kelvingrove 0
"A keen game was played at the Scottish Ice Rink, Crossmyloof, Glasgow last night and a goal scored in the first few minutes enabled Bridge of Weir to gain two valuable points from their old rivals Kelvingrove.
Bridge of Weir thoroughly deserved their victory for they showed the better tactics and on the evening's play were superior to Kelvingrove who were slower in thought and action and failed to reveal their best form. Yet the losers might have drawn or even won for they missed an open goal in the second period and had they scored then the game might have ran a different course.
I S McLeod scored for Bridge of Weir just after the start with a low shot which entered the side of the goal. Then, R E Muirhead had a great effort which D Cross did well to save and shortly after, W G McDonald had a fine shot.
J Campbell nearly scored for Kelvingrove in the second period but A Ross effected a magnificent save and later when Campbell slipped the puck across goal, W S Montford closed in beautifully but placed the puck past an empty goal. A F Reid replied for Bridge of Weir with a fine effort but there was no more scoring.
In the final period, play was not so fast as previous though neither team reduced their effort."
