"Mohawks, after a rather scrappy game, defeated Bridge of Weir by a goal to nothing at the Scottish Ice Rink, Crossmyloof, Glasgow last night.

Play in the first period was erratic and after J G Fyfe had broken away and sent a long shot wide of the mark, G D Rowley attacked strongly but was repulsed. Mohawks made robust attacks but were easily checked by the Bridge of Weir defence.

The second period opened with a combined raid by Mohawks but T Shearer shot ineffectively. Rowley, ably assisted by A F Reid, was prominent but unlucky with a good shot. Play hereabouts was very scrappy but A Gray, after a commendable run, opened the scoring for Mohawks.

Mohawks gave Bridge of Weir's goaltender a hectic few minutes in the third period but play was generally spoiled by a lack of combination."
